From Prison to Purpose | Elizabeth Mikotowicz

This week, I talk with Elizabeth Mikotowicz, whose early twenties were marred by unimaginable violence. Severely beaten by her then-boyfriend, she found herself hospitalized. Doctors prescribed opioids for the pain, unwittingly leading her into addiction. Later, she faced arrest and a 37-month federal prison sentence—a turning point that allowed her to break free from addiction but also exposed the harsh realities of the system.

Now, Elizabeth is a fierce advocate on a mission. She sheds light on the rampant abuse, rape, and misconduct within prisons. Her courageous call-out extends to institutions like Cumberland County Jail, Danbury Federal Correctional Institute, Alderson FPC, and Long Creek Youth Development Center. Tune in as we explore her unwavering commitment to justice and reform
